diana: Welcome back to Beyond the Spiritual Nexus, your cosmic connection. I'm your host, Diana Rose. And I'm Xandra. Welcome back to Cosmic Monday, where we like to talk about all things mystical, magical. And supernatural. So grab your tea and settle in. Because today we're talking about the doll. You know the one. I know exactly which one you're talking about, Xandra. I should hope so because we did pick the topic together. Yes, we did. We promised our listeners a close look. into the legendary files of Ed and Lorraine Warren, and today we're delivering that to you, with their most famous case of Annabelle. We're talking about that real red yarn haired raggedy Anne doll you know the one, the one that terrorized a pair of nursing students back in the seventies. Hmm, that wooden glass case in the Warren's occult museum. That's it's fascinated people for decades, but only so many people seem to know about the movie version. Well today we're getting into the history behind it all. Mm. We're going to be looking at the case of Annabelle, searching through author Gerald Brittle's biographical case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren in The Demonologist, and we will be exploring how Lorraine Warren received her psychic visions. So stay tuned, everybody. We're fixing to step in it. So picture this it's nineteen seventy Hartford, Connecticut. I've never been but go on. Twenty eight year old student nurse named Donna gets a second hand raggedy and doll from her mom for her birthday. She sets the doll on her bed, goes to class, comes home, and the doll is sitting on the couch in the living room with its arms folded. So I guess what you're saying is you need to imagine walking into your apartment after a long day. You've been in class all day long, you probably did a couple hours of work, and you're probably hungry. So you're probably maybe in a little bit of a bad mood, right? And you just open the door and you see a giant ragdoll casually lounging on your sofa like it pays rent. Yeah, exactly. And that poltergeist. movement escalated very fast actually in this case , Xandra. Because at first Donna and her roommate Angie noticed subtle shifts. Right. you know, like the doll sitting sitting upright. Right. Kneeling and eventually standing on its feet. What? Yes. Okay, so you have to understand I kid you not, it's in the files. See, I I'm more familiar with television aspect of this, but so I didn't know that. But you have to understand a raggedy anne doll, they're cloth dolls, right? So they don't have any wires or frames in there. They're not like a Barbie doll, they're not posable. They're basically stuffed with cloth. So to stand up, I have to imagine. The only way to have it stand up would be to hold it up or for something to be propping it up in some way, correct? Precisely. Okay. But we will get to that. Then after those incidents it started relocating itself in the apartment, meaning it was it would move to different rooms on its own. Right. Yes. She would place it somewhere, they would come home, and the doll would be somewhere else. Mm-hmm. Even in behind closed doors. It it would be in a room where the door was closed. Locked shut. Right. You know, Xandra, I had a case like that that was similar to that before. Okay. Only it was the Ouija board. I don't think you've told me this one. It was about I had a client that played with a Ouija board and the Ouija board would relocate around her house without her moving it. Okay. It always ended up under her bed and she never placed it under the bed. You you you don't want anything under your bed in that capacity either. In that capacity, no, but that's a story for another episode. But yes, that is what used to happen with the Ouija board and we had to go through well, that's another story. That that must have been how you explained Ouija board disposal to me, but I didn't place that story. And then, okay, getting back to Annabelle, let me rewire my brain for a second. Hold on. Let me plug back in. okay, so getting back to Annabelle. So after the doll began moving, what came next was physical manifestations around the apartment. So Donna and Angie started finding handwritten notes. on parchment paper, you know, scattered around the floor and on the tables. And it they all seemed to say some kind of variation of help, help us, and help Lou. And it was they described it as like a childlike hand. So I guess the letters would be shaky, you know, the kind of child writes. But you know, Xandra, it made no sense because neither student use parchment paper. Right, right. I mean who uses parchment paper in this day and age? I wish I did. Only people who are artistic or are doing like certain art things. I suppose so. I wish I did. But w another question I would have is in that case, how does an entity even spawn parchment paper, right? So things don't Things eventually progress and they take a a gory turn, right? Where they find drops of real blood on the back of the doll's cloth hands and chest. So I specify cloth because you have to understand it was seep seeping into the doll. Mm-hmm. It wasn't painted on. No. It looked as if it were seeping out of the fabric. Yes. Yes. Mm-hmm. And, you know, that's when their friend Lou got dragged directly into the physical activity. Because you know Lou had a very deep dislike and an instant dread about the doll when he saw it from day one. Yeah. And he kept telling them to get rid of it because he just got the Jeepies from it. You know? And you know you should always listen to the friend who tells you to throw away the objectively creepy doll. Lou knew what was up. Lou could sense it. he really did. One night while staying over, Lou woke up completely paralyzed with sleep paralysis. Ooh, that's rough. with the feeling of suffocating pressure on his chest. When he looked down, he saw the doll slowly crawling up his torso toward his neck. And I don't have to tell you, Xandra, he was totally petrified. Yeah, that's a nightmare. That's seriously a nightmare. But the thing is the attacks didn't stop at night terrors. Okay. The very next afternoon, if I recall correctly, Lou was at the apartment and he was preparing for a trip when he heard footsteps and rustling inside of Donna's locked bedroom. Yes, yes. Thinking someone had broken in, you know, he burst through the door only to find that the room was completely empty, except for the doll. Of course, that was sitting in a chair in the corner. Right. So Lou reported that as he stepped toward it, he felt this burning icy sensation on the back of his neck, followed by what I guess you would call was an immediate physical assault, right? So when he unbuttoned his shirt, he had these seven claw marks, like claw like gashes that burned and they had like magically just been ripped across his chest. These if I've was it three vertical and four horizontal? Yes. Yeah, and they were weeping blood and he he said that they were hot to the touch. Mm-hmm. Can you believe that, Xandra? Seven gashes. Seven. You know, it seems to me that because Lou from the get-go kind of felt something right off with the doll and he took a disliking to it and that he kind of prompted the girls to get rid of it. It's almost as if the doll just zoned in on him. Well I would imagine that an entity like this needs people to be sort of open to their oppressive forces. So anything that challenges that is a no go in their book. Exactly. And you know what's really wild about that part, Xandra, is that within two days those marks completely vanished without leaving a single scar. Yeah. They were terrified. All three of them were terrified. So they held a seance, they connected with a medium and held a seance. And the medium claimed that the spirit of a seven year old girl named Annabelle Higgins had died on the property and just wanted to feel loved. Something I've always found interesting about that actually was Seven gashes and the little girl is seven years old. It was just a little it's a little too perfect. Yeah. Yeah. Jinx show me a Coke. So We you know, in the movie they said they they played it completely differently. That wasn't the way that they said it in the movie. don't worry, we'll get to that. Yeah. We'll get to that. So let me let me s what's We always get ahead of ourselves. We get too excited. I know. So let me let me let's jump back a little bit. I love the spooky stuff. I know, me too. I think I made you worse. so Annabelle Higgins wanted to feel loved. And Donna and Angie felt so sorry for this little girl, supposed little yes, that they they gave permission to the entity to inhabit the doll. And boy. This is a big no-no. It's it's an act of consent. For the entity to enter at the end of the day. Absolutely. That just opened the floodgates. Absolutely, Xandra. You know, it's the classic spiritual trap. Yeah. Desperate after Lou's attack, the roommates reach out to to an episcopal priest, Father Hagen. So Father Hagen, realizing the severity of the situation, he escalated the case to his superior, Father Cooke, who immediately called in the private demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren and You know, he called the Warrens because they were known specialists who could investigate, interview witnesses, diagnose the nature of the spirit, you know, to determine if it was a human ghost, an inhuman demonic entity. You know, before any religious rites are performed, Xandra, yeah. That has to be done because the church has to go through rigorous red tape. Right. I mean you have to look at it sort of like a medication situation. a doctor has to rule out any other thing before they can give you the right medication. Yes. The the Holy Father can't just go in and perform an exorcism. There have to have a basis for it and they require to go through many steps in order to do that. I suppose another metaphor that's not quite as dire would be if you go into a grocery store without a list. I guess. Now Mom, I wanna pause and talk about how Lorraine actually processed what was happening now that you've mentioned it, because her clairvoyant abilities, I've always found them really fascinating. I know you know quite a bit about it. You read The Demonologist, right? Yes. Okay. She was actually very unique in that realm. Yeah. So according to Gerald Brittle's documented accounts into Demonologists, Lorraine was both clairvoyant and a light transmedium. So for people listening, unlike a deep trans medium who becomes completely unconscious and has no memory of the event, a light transmedium functions more. kind of like a translator. You know, like they're fully present, they're aware. Of what they're seeing and going through, and they remember everything that happened during that transmission. If you're a little bit of a history buff or you're into mythology, you might think of the Oracle Delphi when you in that situation. I believe she would qualify as a light trans medium. And another example would be old Hollywood movies when they would have a medium in there, she'd always faint. You remember? Yes, but Lorraine didn't not do that. She did. She did that's not how it works, Xandra. She actually described her psychic reception as receiving vivid internal mental imagery. And she had she experienced sudden temperature drops and intuitive auditory impressions straight from the environment she was in. Exactly. You know, Lorraine explained in her lectures for the New England Society for Psychic Research, that's NES P R Nesper, if you will. That spirits didn't usually talk out loud to her like a person sitting in the room. Instead, she received Claire Audience thoughts. Right. Directly to her mind. And she saw clairvoyant visions of an entity and she felt their emotional state. So that's the thing. When Lorraine stepped into Donna and Angie's apartment, she didn't see a little girl holding a raw rag doll. no. What did what did she feel? no. She felt an overwhelming wave of physical coldness. And she saw the heavy shadow hovering over the doll. She knew through her spiritual discernment that human spirits simply do not inhabit inabit inanimate inanimate objects. You get too into it and you're just stumbling. You're thinking too fast and your mouth can't keep up. It's okay. Nor do they tear human flesh. Yeah, that's true. You gotta remember, Lou had those seven gashes. Yes, you remember Lou went to seven gashes, okay? So, you know. She realized, I guess you could say, there was a inhuman quality to this. And I she sort of seemed to believe it was a demonic entity at the end of the day. Absolutely. And that demonic entity was projecting the image and was using the story of a sweet seven year old child, I kinda like a Trojan horse. You know? Absolutely. the ultimate goal was to trick these young women into giving consent for an attachment. Exactly, because then the demon can have free reign. Yeah. So let's look at Lorraine and Ed's actual methodology during these investigations because they had a specific systematic process. Okay. So in in Gerald Brittle's book, The Demonologist, Ed Warren summed up their basic approach by saying My job as an investigator is to find out what is natural before looking for the supernatural. Okay, and here, I see you got a note here. It says Lorraine describes her or I guess subsc described my bad her clairvoyant process. When I enter a house, I don't see ghosts walking around like people. I see visions in my mind's eye and I feel the atmosphere change. My clairvoyance is like receiving pictures and emotions that tell me the story of what happened in that space. Yes, she also talked extensively about her protective protocol, saying that her faith is her protection. Okay. She I rely on the power of God, holy water, and the prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel to shield my aura. You can never go into a situation like this with fear because fear is what these negative forces feed on. Yeah. So I get if you break it down. Saint Michael is one of the major saints for invoking during A situation like this. Yeah, you taught me that very early on. if you break it down, the way I'm looking at it is her methodology had her methodology had three clear steps. So there was sensory scanning where she would walk into like a situation totally unaware of what was going on and tune into temperature drops and psychic imagery. So that would she would avoid any kind of bias. Absolutely. Right. And what what else would you call the other ones? That's the that's what I came up with on the spot. And you know, her discernment and cross examination. Right. Where she checked her visions against Ed's physical logs and interview data. Right. and then the classic, you know, spiritual shielding, you know, guarding herself through faith and white light visualization, which we've done that many times on the podcast thus far. We've led through people through the visualization many times already. you would do that usually before interacting with any kind of dark ent energy. Which let's let's be real. that's really different from what Hollyhood sh Hollywood shows us in the conjuring universe movies. Absolutely different Xandra, like nighttime and daytime. You know, in real life, that doll was a soft, oversized, raggedy anne doll, but movie director James Wann turned it into a a creepy oversized porcelain doll with cracked paint and glowing glowing eyes just to make it visually terrifying for for audiences. It was pretty creepy though. You gotta handle it. It was creepy, Xandra, but it wasn't it wasn't true. It wasn't true. It wasn't factual. I would sometimes I do prefer that they keep it not quite as factual. You know, I think they should have kept it factual. I mean, stick to the facts. Sometimes I feel like it invites things in, makes it a little safer if you're not quite as accurate. I worry about people a little too much, perhaps, but I know you like to keep it as historical. anyway, the movie also Something I th I know we kinda got into was the storyline with the cultist. They made Annabelle Higgins into a cultist. Yes. And she slits her throat in the baby's nursery. Yes, that was. You remember that? That's totally not true. And in the original, like the actual Warren Archives, the name actually is just from that initial seance with the with the medium. With the medium, right. Mm-hmm. Exactly. You know, Xandra, movies need high drama. I agree. But the reality yeah the reality of it is chilling enough on its own. You know, the Warrens had Father Cook perform an exorcism to cleanse the apartment, sealed the doll in a bag, and they drove it home to Monroe, Connecticut. But yeah, I you know this as well, but the entity entity it just it it didn't go quietly. No, it did not go quite. On the highway, I I'm sure most people will know this story. on the highway, their power steering, it failed and the brakes locked up and the engine stalled repeatedly. Yes, until Ed pulled over on the on the s shoulder of the road, opened the trunk, and doused the doll in holy water. I mean, only then was the car able to start working normally again. Yeah, but the activity didn't stop once it got to Monroe either. no. No. Putting the doll in a glass case inside the Warren Occult Museum didn't freeze the phenomenon entirely. no, it did not. And you know, Sandra, actually he had a special case made for that doll. Mm-hmm. He made it out of a special type of wood. Which we still don't know what kind of wood that was. No, they would never say what type of wood it was, only that he they chose a specific type of wood to to make the the the keep it contained almost. And they also sealed it with sigils, mm-hmm, prayers and and blessings and To keep the doll contained. Yeah. Ed documented multiple instances where the doll continued to physically locate itself within the locked cabinet, meaning that the doll would move positions in the cabinet. Visitors and the NESPR researchers. They frequently reported that the doll would tilt its head or shift sitting positions between tours. So for those of you who are wondering, the NSPR, NESPR is the New England Society of Psychic Research. Always say Nesper and partnered. Yeah, they partnered with Ed and Lorraine Warren. I keep I Nesper is easier for me to remember because I think of Nesquik. And do you remember that story Lorraine shared about the visiting priest? yes. Father Father Bradford, Father Jason. Jason, yes, Jason. Lorraine shared in documented lectures that Father Bradford had visited the museum, picked up the doll, and dismissed its powder power, saying to the doll, You're just a rag doll, Annabelle. You can't hurt anyone. Which Ed then told him you shouldn't have said that. Yes. And on his drive home, which you may have heard this story as well, Annabelle is very heavily associated with this particular kind of thing. On his drive home, Father Bradford's car suffered an unexplainable failure. It had like a it was a it was a total break failure at intersection and it resulted in a severe crash that nearly killed him. Yes, yes. And then there was that That famous motorcycle incident, Sandra. The young man on on a tour was pounding on a glass cabinet on the glass cabinet and he was sort of mocking the doll and telling it to scratch him like it did Lou. Ed needless to say, Ed escorted him off the property immediately. But just a few minutes later, the young man lost control of his motorcycle on a completely straight, dry stretch of road, And he hit a tree and he passed passed away instantly. Yes. So sad. It was a it's a tragic reminder of why Lorraine always emphasized respect when dealing with this these phenomena. You taught me that very early on when you s when you started involving me. Yes. Yes. You know, I had a case also early on that really hammered this home for me. Yeah. I was working with a family in Vermont, dealing with was like a a classic classic poltergeist. Okay. You know, it was very aggressive, Dozandra, because I remember the heavy oak chairs were were, you know, shaking and and just slamming against tables and walls and dishes were rattling in the cabinets and The energy in the hall f I remember just felt like solid ice. Mm-hmm. You know, of course my initial impulse was to just march in and demand that it leave and just show zero weakness. But You know, the the you know temptation really is always to go in guns blazing and match that aggression. Exactly. Or maybe it's just 'cause we're American. Exactly, maybe. But I you know, I stopped, I took a breath, and I remembered. You know, you have to respect the reality of the energy you're dealing with. Even when it's destructive, Xandra. You know, I've told you that. Yeah. So instead of shouting or trying to force a showdown I stood in that hallway and I grounded my energy. I addressed the space with a quiet, steady authority. You acknowledge that present, validating the chaos, make it clear that the family was under divine protection. And you have to set very firm respectable boundaries before performing the cleansing. And that's a very key distinction to make. Showing respect doesn't mean bowing down or being afraid. It's absolutely not. You cannot be afraid in a 90 situation. No. It's kinda like giving them a really good protein bar at the end of the day. Xandra. It means when you show respect you're you're treating the situation with serious care rather than ego and bravado. You have to remember you're dealing with the real situation here. Exactly with real people. Exactly. And you cannot risk harm. You have to treat it seriously. Exactly. Exactly. So when you treat spiritual work like a circus or a test of pride, you open yourself up to real danger. Approaching it with calm and respect and solid protection, that is what actually restores peace to a home. That's why that physical case at the museum wasn't just wood and glass. It functioned as a consecrated contain consecrated containment unit. Mm-hmm. You know, it was permanently blessed with holy water and binding prayers to keep that entity bound. They took the necessary steps to keep that entity bound, Xandra. So you know, it's really wild how well this Anna ca Annabelle case ties into where the planets are sitting for the week of September, Xandra, the fourteenth through through the twentieth. That was smooth. Wasn't it? Don't you think I was smooth? So we start the week off on September 14th with a gorgeous little moon transit through Libra alongside Venus, which brings an energy of seeking balance and justice. But right off the bat, Venus and Scorpio is locking into a tenth square with Pluto in Aquarius. Venus Pluto tension is the the exact energy of hidden truth coming to light. Scorpio doesn't do fake, Sandra. And Pluto exposes power dynamics. So it forces us to look under the rug and ask, what am I letting into my space? Out of fear or control? Then, midway through the week on September 17th, the sun leaves Fiery Leo and transits into the practical analytical Virgo. Yes, Virgo season, as we all know, is all about organizing, decluttering, and you know, auditing your daily routines and personal boundaries. It's the universe handing us a broom and saying time to clean house both physically and spiritually. And right behind it on September eighteenth, Mars enters Cancer. Mars is the planet of action and defense, and in Cancer, it gets fiercely protective over the home, family, and personal space. But the shadow side is emotional reactivity. So getting defense. Well, what brings us right back to Donna and apartment. They gave an invited uninvited entity, Xandra. I have to go back here because I cannot get beyond this. They gave it's it's the c i if somebody were to come in the shop and to tell you this story, you'd probably have the exact same reaction. So I would lose my mind. They gave an uninvited entity consent to enter their space out of misplaced sympathy, failing To set spiritual bound boundaries for themselves. Sandra, even if a medium would tell you that there was a seven year old child, you would not invite that spirit to inhabit a doll. Me you can trust that I wouldn't. But I would be very suspicious of any common sense tells you not to do that, Jandra. You know, lady, some people just don't know any better. I guess. But me personally, I'm a little I I know too much about the world, I suppose. It's in our genes. That w that was smooth. You actually kept it on like relevant to cosmic curds. I don't know how you did that. It was on your mind. I could see you thinking about it. I was. So I couldn't get over it. So the message for the week of September 14th to the 20th. Use that Virgo sun, Clarity, to audit your space. Use Mars and Cancer to fiercely guard your peace. And remember that true spiritual protection starts with trusting your intuition over your fear or maybe not inviting a seven-year-old into your personal space. Absolutely. Well I think it's time to take a breath, sip some tea, and pull a card, Sandra. What are we drinking today? Well I made us some peppermint and mugwort. Not Mugwarth. Mugwart. Well It's actually very delicious, Sandra. I hope so. I actually was very particular about the mugwort tonight. it helps me sleep really well. I don't know about you. but anyway, peppermint is for clearing out mental clutter and keeping us sharp so we don't invite Annabelle into our home. Yes. And mugwort is really good for clear intuition and extra grounding. And like I said, it's been helping me sleep. I don't know about you. Well, I love it. Shuffling the deck now. Okay. And look at that. We got the high priestess. So she's she's pretty perfect for today's topic. Yeah. this is one of my favorite cards, and I know you love her too, so we might ramble a little bit, but let's look at her sitting right between these two pillars. Okay, we have the black pillar B. For Boaz, representing shadow and intuition. And then we have the white pillar J for Jachin representing light and conscious thought. And she sits right in the middle, completely balanced. So we got shadow and intuition on one side, and light and conscious thought on the other. And you know what's so fascinating about those pillars? Yeah. They trace back to King Solomon's temple. It's that she isn't choosing to side. She acts as the mediator between the physical world and the unseen realm. Right. And if you look closely at the blue robe flowing down her frame, right, that's coming down from her body. It literally morphs into water at her feet. Yes. And water flows right through the background of the major arcana. Yes. And it represents the deep subconscious currents. that run beneath everyday lives. And notice the solar cross resting right over her heart center. Right. Balancing the four elements. Earth, air, fire, and water. And that tapestry behind her with the pomegranates and palms, the pomegrans represent the divine feminine and the myth of Persephone While the palms represent masculine structure, that tapestry is her boundary, guarding sacred inner. Knowledge and beyond that veil lies the Holy of Holies, the ultimate mystery. And she is the gatekeeper. She wears the triple moon goddess of Isis, the crown of Isis, with a glowing crescent moon at her feet. And that shows total mastery over her emotional tides and psychic impressions. And that Torah scrolls, Xandra. The Torah scroll in her lap is partially covered by her mantle. That detail is actually crucial. It means true spiritual wisdom isn't something you can just force open or broadcast to the world. Yeah. It takes inner reflection, patience, and you know, waiting for the right time to reveal itself. Yeah, when the High Priestess shows up in a reading, she's telling you to pause. Don't react, don't don't force an answer, and don't let outside noise drown out your inner voice. She doesn't panic, she doesn't fight, she just she just knows. The High Priestess reminds us to trust her gut. keep our boundaries strong and to stand confidently in our own light. Well, before we wrap up today, we wanted to walk everyone through a super simple room clearing ritual. It's a great way to combine practical Physical tidying and an energy reset, especially if a room has been feeling heavy or stagnant. I love doing this on like a a Sunday afternoon, and it's it's really simple, like she said. All you really need to grab is a trash bag, a cleaning cloth, like a a damp cleaning cloth, and whatever you like using for energy work. So a bundle of dried sage or roses. Rosemary, those work great. but if you're like in a dorm or you can't like smoke, just grab a little bowl of sea salt and a glass of fresh water. That'll work. Yes, that'll be perfect. So the first thing you want to do is you wanna crack crack open a window. Because you need an exit route for all the stale air to leave and all the stale energy to leave and just go out, exit out the window or door, whichever you have. Then you want to do a quick physical sweep. You know, throw away any trash, haul out any dirty dishes, get clothes off the floor. Give your main surfaces a quick wipe down. Remember everyone, physical clutter actually traps stagnant energy and emotional stagnant energy stagnant emotional energy. I'm sorry everybody. So clearing the physical deck basically gives you a clean slate. Now, once the physical surface is clear, stand right in the middle of the room for step two, which is grounding. So you're gonna take three really slow deep breaths. In through your nose and out through the mouth. And you're gonna do three of those and imagine roots growing out from the bottoms of your feet deep into the earth and let your shoulders just kind of relax and drop away. Now for the actual energy clearing. Start right at your main door. Walk around the perimeter of the room in a clockwise direction. If you're using smoke, waft waft it gently into the corners. Go all the way around. If you're using salt, Just toss a tiny pinch into each corner of the room as you walk. Picture a wave of bright, crisp. Blue light sweeping over the walls and sweeping out any residual energy and tension. Then head back to the center, face your doorway, and set your boundary. Boundaries are very important when we're doing spiritual work. So you can do that by saying, My home is my sanctuary. I clear out any heavy, stagnant, or uninvited energy, and I welcome only. Peace, light, and tranquility here. You gotta say it like you mean it. Exactly. It's all about authority, taking charge. Finally, you're going to lock it in. Dip your fingers into your glass of water and dab a tiny drop on your forehead and your wrist. You're gonna take one last deep breath and And you're set. Your space is reset, it's grounded, and it's completely yours again. Well everyone, that's all the time or patience I have for Annabelle today. I don't have any time for Annabelle personally. You know what I meant, Sandra? I'm just feeling I'm just telling our listeners. The episode is over. Okay. That's regardless of if they're a lifelong paranormal enthusiast like you or discovering a new interest or a longtime listener or a new friend. We're glad to have them at the table with us today, Sandra. Okay, fair. Although honestly, diving into these files brings me straight back to my childhood bedroom. Remember when I was ten and convinced I was gonna grow up to be like a full-time paranormal researcher? I do. I do remember. I couldn't get you away from the television. You used to sit too close to the screen. Which doesn't matter because my optometrist says my vision is twenty twenty. You know I was petrified that you were I have bad eye vision because of that. I remember you used to stare at the glasses whenever we'd go by him. Which this time of year also was like the best time of TV. You know? I had my whole night planned around the paranormal lineup. Remember? I'd start with scariest places on earth, the Linda Blair one where she was hosting, and I think Zelda Rubenstein narrating, I think it's Zelda Rubenstein. I know it's Zelda. And then I'd switch over to like Ghost Hunters on Sci Fi. And then I'd end the night like with ghost adventures. And in the mornings I would get up just to watch Paranormal State. And that I was I had to have been about ten years old and all I cared about was EVP. I don't know if you remember, Sandra, but I used to watch that Linda Blair show with you when you were little. And I know you knew Zelda Rubinstein from narrating scariest places on earth, but Xandra, I remembered her from playing Tangina, the psychic in poltergeist. I actually do remember that. So for people who want to feel old, that's when Sonic was giving out kids' meals with trick-or-treating buckets. Okay, anyway, you mentioned poltergeist to me, and I spent The weekend on the family computer. Again, not to make anybody feel particularly young, but we used to have a family computer.
